Chris's Gear

Without getting too far into anorak territory let's answer some of those gear questions;

GUITARS; Yes the Rickenbacker guitars I use are 360/12 models. The Black one is a 60's Vintage type Reissue with the same square lines as the one presented to George Harrison.

The white Fender Stratocaster has a Roland GR33 attached - that's where some of the mysterious Strings and Organ sounds you hear in live performances come from. However, I still reach for the Gibson 335 for the bluesier songs. There is nothing quite like the combination of the Gibson and the valve Marshall for that area of playing.

The Backline is a mixture - The Fenders and Rick's go through a Vox modeling amp which I've been extremely pleased with. The Gibsons are mostly through the Marshall Valve Amp setup but, sometimes through a very sophisticated Yamaha DGIOO. This is Midi controllable from a foot switching setup enabling me to step between the required patches.

Alto Saxophone - this is an American instrument made by 'King'

The Harmonicas are a varied bunch from Lee Oskars to Hohner blues harps. They blowout from time to time so I keep a few in the gig bag.
